A quick reference to player Statistics
As I research more bets that the bookmakers boost I am finding that I am looking at Statistics that I have analysed before so I have decided to publish my fact-finding missions on these pages. These pages are totally accessible to everyone so if you want to do a bit of your own delving please feel free to do so. I accept no responsibility for any inaccuracies that may be found as I do get my information from several different sites and I may be a bit late on updating their pages .
With bookmakers, the battle against the matched bettor is an ongoing thorn in their paw. They have to come up with “unlayable” bets and these include but not exclusive to “Shots on Target”. These stats are provided in the main by OPTA. OPTA is the industry recognised company for providing football Stats for the English Premier League.
Bookmakers, when settling these bets, use OPTA to avoid any ambiguity. A word of warning however, If a player quoted in the bet does not play at all then the bet is void, that’s Fair. If, on the other hand, you staked your money on the top goalscorer in the league to have 2 or more shots on target in the morning without waiting for the team sheet and the player is on the bench and only comes onto the pitch for 10 minutes, then your bet stands. There has been more than one occasion where this has happened. Do your research! It seems the bookies do 🙂

- Time on Pitch for Each Match Played
- Disciplinary issues (Cards etc)
Available players so Far
- Shots on Target Stats for Each Match played
- Any Time out for Injuries or illnesses etc.
