Ladbrokes National League Treble Boost 7.5 to 9.0 Aldershot, Southend, and Chesterfield all to win

Is this a good bet or not?
Aldershot, currently 2nd from the bottom, are hosting Yeovil today and both teams are going into this game winless Aldershots only home game this season so far ended 0-1. Of the past 4 times these two sides have met Aldershot have won just one. Yeovil have won 2 – convincingly, and the other game ended 2-2. Aldershot have yet to break their scoring duck this season and the stats suggest that Yeovil with 1 goal in 1 game and that one being early only conceding 2 in the latter half of the second half might suggest a 1-1 draw at best for Aldershot.
Southend are playing away at Wealdstone and an away victory at Kings Lynn will likely boost confidence after losing at home to Stockport last time out. With just 1 goal each this season but a win for Southend so far this season might just give them the edge.
The last game in this treble sees an inform Chesterfield away at Kings Lynn in the game that is most likely to be a winning leg which means of course that it will be the only leg that loses in this topsy turvey sport. 2 wins and equal on points at the top of the league, Chesterfield have a great opportunity to overtake Dagenham to take top spot outright.
The win odds for these three teams are as follows
Aldershot 2.1
Chesterfield 1.95
Southend 1.73
Given the boosted odds of 9.0 the implied probability of this treble winning is just 11.11% making the probability of it losing 88.89%

Ladbrokes Premiership Treble- Man City, Everton, and Crystal Palace All To Win Boosted to 9/1

This week Ladbrokes “Where the Nation Plays Pays” have created a high odds treble to entice the unsuspecting punted to bet with them.
The following games are in focus
Man City v Norwich City
Leeds Utd v Everton
Crystal Palace v Brentford
Looking at The Man City game first and week 1 didnt go to plan for the premiership champions losing away to Tottenham. Norwich City also lost 3-0 against Liverpool at Carrow Road in their first league match of 2021/2022. When the two sides last met in the Premier League , Manchester City came out on top 5-0 at Etihad Stadium in July 2020. It is hard to oppose Man City in this game especially having a first game defeat against them. They will be out to prove that they are still the league champions, Even more so with a packed stadium watching on.
Leeds Utd host Everton in the second of the three games and this is the game which may well throw the treble into doubt. Leeds are favourites to win this at odds of 2.2 with SkyBet and previous meetings of these two sides have seen Leeds win or draw 4 times out of the last 6. While Everton will be wanting to capture a top 4 lot in the legue Leeds Utd will be desperate to lift themselves from the bottom. The ever loyal Leeds fans may well be a factor as well.
Finally we come to a London derby between Crystal Palace who lost at Anfield last week 3-0 and the “mighty” Brentford who shocked Arsenal and probably the league in general by winning 2-0 in front of Jubilant home crowd. The recent form of Brentford in club friendlies have plainly boosted the players confidence and they will undoubtabley be up for a repeat performance this week.
All things considered and being the ever cautious punter that I am there will be other bets today with better probabilities, it is a Better Not verdict on this one.
Good Luck in whatever you decide and remember to bet responsibly.

Ladbrokes Premier League Treble . Leicester, Aston Villa and Brighton all to Win 9/1 (was 8/1)

With the Premier League back in action this weekend the bookies are eager to make more profit off the unsuspecting punter and today’s focus is on the ever greedy Ladbrokes and their Premier League Treble.
Leicester are at home to Wolves this afternoon and with fans being allowed back into stadiums the home side advantage must be taken into consideration and with each new season brings the uncertainty of lack of stats. Looking at last season’s last 5 games for these teams Leicester won 3 out of the 5 with 2 being away to Man Utd and Chelsea with the other win at home against the mighty Man City. These two sides last met on 8 Nov where the winning goal was a 15th minute penalty by Vardy. Wolverhampton are full of uncertainty with a new manager in the saddle and a tentative vote on the side of Leicester goes to this Match.
The next game in the treble is the newly promoted Watford hosting Aston Villa and who would have thought Brentford would have given Arsenal a spanking last night, could the same happen this afternoon with these two teams? I have Traore in my VirginBet fives team and really hope he scores a hat-trick. Watford scored in every home game last season bar one which was against Cardiff in December. Aston Villa, last season, came out on a winning mission being victorious in all four of their opening games scoring a total of 12 goals. Home side advantage may play a part in this game but on previous goal scoring ability and the loss of Grealish to Man City not withstanding another tentative vote goes to Aston Villa.
Brighton travel to Burnley today and this it would seem is likely to be the bogey match. Winning just 5 away games last season their start to the 20/21 season did not inspire confidence. This fixture in February ended 1-1 and ended goalless in their previous meeting to that. perhaps 2-2 might be a progressive step as home advantage with a full ground today may make the difference. Both of these sides were in danger of sinking into the Championship last season and my vote goes to a score draw
As with all these trebles better odds may be found elsewhere and the same odds can be got on smarkets and Betfair sportbook is offering 9.5 (17/2) unboosted.
This treble is a tricky one as there is no real recent form to reference and with all things being equal a max stake bet is out of the question but a sneaky quid may well be acceptable
Good luck with whatever you decide to do and please gamble responsibly

Ladbrokes Early Kick-Off Treble, Leeds Utd , Rangers, and St Johnstone all to Win.

Boosted from 5.5 (9/2) to 6.5 (11/2) this lunchtime treble seems feasible at first sight. All the teams are above their opponents in their respective leagues. Leeds are playing Burnley away and Burnley are having a big winless spell at home having not won a game at home in the last 8 games. Leeds however have lost 9 times this season away from home with notable defeats at Brighton (2-0) and Crystal Palace (4-1). Most of their wins have come from playing teams in the lower half of the league. Burnley’s position at 15th owes much to their ability to draw games and save the point having reached that result 6 times at home this season. Perhaps this will be Leeds Utd’s first draw this season away from home. Leeds are 2.15 to win.
Top of the Scottish Premiership are Rangers who, at home have only conceded 4 goals all season. They host Aberdeen this lunchtime and seem quite invincible. The score in the reverse fixture was 0-1. Rangers have won 6 of their last 8 matches scoring 1st in 32 of their 37 league games. The stats on this game are of little consequence – If Rangers Lose today something is seriously wrong in Scottish football. Rangers are 1.25 to win.
St Johnstone is the third lunchtime fixture in this boosted treble and are playing Livingston at home and of the last 4 home games have won just 2, losing to Aberdeen and drawing 1-1 with Rangers. This does not however reflect their recent form over the last 8 games gaining 14 points from 8 matches relates to 1.75 points per game. Livingston’s recent 8 game form on the other hand is abysmal with only 4 points losing their last 3 away games to Hibs, Celtic, and Motherwell. St Johnstone are 2.25 to win at home.
In summary, Rangers have to be the banker in this trio there is a distinct possibility of Leeds drawing for the first time away this season and the odds don’t marry with Livingston’s recent form and I am a bit suspicious about St Johnstones odds being greater than evens!
Good Luck I whatever you decide
Ladbrokes won’t close my account but neither will they allow me to put even 5p on this bet. Bit childish really.

Ladbrokes Price Boost Newcastle v Man City – Man City to be leading after 15 minutes.

This price has been boosted to 4.33 from 4.00 – not very generous really but that’s #Ladbrokes for you. Anyway lets have a look at what chance there is that this bet will pay.
Manchester City have only scored 3 goals when playing away in the first 15 minutes of play. Newcastle have actually scored 4 in the same timeframe when at home. this is not looking like a good bet!
The 3 goals that Man City did score when playing away were
Arsenal 21st Feb -2 mins and that was the first and last goal
Burnley 3rd Feb – 3 mins – final score 0-2
West Brom 26th Jan – 6 mins – Final score 0-5
Newcastle have conceded 4 goals in the first 15 minutes 1 penalty,1 own Goal and 2 regular run of the mill.
Manchester City’s average goal time is 43 mins (N.B. This is NOT average time of first goal)
A safer bet might be that Man City will be leading at Half-Time as they have scored 18 goals in the first half playing away and only conceded 4!
Shame on you #Ladbrokes this bet should be boosted by a lot more than 0.33

Man City have only scored 3 goals in the first 15 minutes when playing away!!!

Ladbrokes Premier League Treble, Southampton, Tottenham & Aston Villa all to win??

With just over an hour to the first of these games kicking off I will try and get as many stats down as possible.
Southampton host Burnley today at 12:00 and Their home record over the last four games doesn’t make for a happy manager! 1 draw and 3 losses. They have gained just 4 points in the last 8 games (both home and away) If the match ends in a draw or away win this would be Southamptons 6th consecutive home game without a win. Defensively they have conceded 51 goals from the 29 games played this season. While Burnley are not exactly on fire as well they have gained 11 points from the last 8 games with 6 of them coming from their last 4 away games beating Everton 1-2 and Palace 0-3.

Game 2 on the roster is Tottenham’s away clash at Newcastle. A win for Tottenham in this game would see them level on points with Chelsea and a possible Champions League place. Newcastle’s last 4 home games have not ended well with only 2 points being gained from draws with Aston Villa and Wolverhampton. A 3-2 victory over Southampton 3 home games ago however, would bolster a decision not to be too hasty in backing this treble. Tottenham gained 15 points from their last 8 games to Newcastles 6. With the exception of Brighton (another resaon?) Tottenham have won all of their away games against teams in the bottom 7 of the league.

Finally I come to Aston Villa at home to relegation threatened Fulham. Fulham are of late, coming to the fore as their last 4 away games have all ended in points with notable victoies against both merseyside teams and both “to nil” to boot! Aston Villa on the other hand seem to be in the doldrums playing at home at the moment with just 1 win (Arsenal 1-0) from the last 4 games at Villa Park.
Of the last 9 games in which these two sides have played each other Villa have won just 2
While the stats for these three games seem a bit sparse it would seem that the two home sides face a bit of an uphill struggle
Good luck in whatever you decide

Ladbrokes Saturday League one Treble. Sunderland, M.K.Dons, and Peterborough all to win

#Ladbrokes have boosted this treble from 6.0 to 7.0 (5/1 to 6/1).
Sunderland are currently 3rd in the league with 2 games in thand to league leaders Hull and one game in hand to second place Peterborough. Form from the last 8 games suggest that Sunderland are on fire gaining a total of 20 points from these games. Bristol Rovers are hosting this match and Sunderlands form from the last 4 aways put 10 points on the board. Bristol need a win today just to keep from swirling into the relegation zone. This does not look likely as they have lost over half (56%) of their home games, 2 of them to the top two sides in the league by a 2 goal margin in both games. In the 5 times that Sunderland and Bristol have played Sunderland have won 3 of those matches. Their last game ended 1-1 in last September.

Mid table M.K. Dons are hosting 5th place and out of form Doncaster. This is the bogey-man game and needs a thorough picking over. The Dons do have a terrible record when playing teams from the top half of the league. Of the 10 games that they have been at home to teams higher than them they have lost 4 Drawn 4 and won only 2. Doncasters strength seems to be at home and is where most of their points have come from whereas of the 16 away games they have played have resulted in only gaining 17 points (The Dons away record is better than that (20 points)) having said all of this however Doncaster have scored in 81% of their away games and have won the last two times they have played at Milton Keynes. Head to Head stats show a distinct advantage to a Doncaster win or Draw with the Dons only having won twice in their last 9 meetings. As far as league positions are affected by the result Doncaster winning would push them further into the play-off zone and with Accrington snapping at their heels and that away game yet to be played I would think that there will be some pretty harsh words said in the dressing room before the game. Even though Doncaster are currently formless they do have goalscoring ability and the Dons defensive record is that they have conceded 52 goals in the 37 games played this season 29 of them at home.

Finally in this challenging treble is Peterborough’s game against Accrington. With a game in hand over Hull at the top 3 points separate them so this is an ideal opportunity for Peterborough. Their home form record has seen them accrue 41 points from 17 games Having only lost 2 home games all season once against Hull and once against Blackpool. Peterborough have 58 goals from 36 games while only conceding 37. Accrington on the other hand have scored in 82% of their away games and will prove challenging opponents for Peterborough but the likelihood is, I think, that Peterborough will end the game as victors.
Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

Ladbrokes Friday Night Boosted Treble, Lincoln Sligo Rovers and Espanyol all to win 9.0 from 8.0

At 19:45 tonight Lincoln travel to Oxford for this league one clash. In previous head to heads between these two sides have ended badly for lincoln except for the last game where Lincoln were hosts and won 2-0. Oxford have always won in at home against Lincoln in this league and have even beat them 6-0 when at Lincoln.
Lincoln are currently 4th in league one with a game in hand over league leaders Hull City but the points gap is 7 points They could not even make 2nd even if Peterborough lose against Accrington tomorrow. Lincolns’ recent form is quite bad as they have only got 6 points from 8 games. Having said that however Lincoln have scored in 76% of their away games this season. When Oxford have played teams towards the top of the league at home they have either lost (3) or drawn (4) with the exception of Doncaster in which they won 3-0.
Sligo Rovers are also playing away at Waterford in the second game of the season so the stats are quite thin on the ground. A guide to the result of this game could be the match odds which are heavily in favour of Sligo who are odds on to win but if we look at the previous season these two sides are quite evenly matched with Sligo finishing 4th one place above Waterford. You have to question why Ladbrokes would include this game in the treble as neither of these teams seem to be scoring giants. Perhaps Sligo will win but the price is a bit short to put money on.
Final game tonight is Espanyol who are currently 2nd in the spanish second league playing away at Castellon who are fighting for survival at 18th tottering on the edge of the relegation zone. Of the last 4 away games Espanyol have drawn 3 times and won once with all 4 games having a 100% BTTS rate but when playing away against the teams just above and in the relegation zone they have won. This game would have to be the banker of the 3 which means that it will probably the only one that loses.
An out of form Lincoln and lack of stats for Sligo has to put this into the BettOrNot category. Ladbrokes will probably win this one!

Ladbrokes Premier League Treble. Brighton Leicester and Tottenham all to win.

After finishing my Timeform1-2-3 series in time for the start of Cheltenham next week (read about it here) I am back to picking the bones out of the bookmakers boosted bets. Todays target is Labrokes again. Ladbrokes are incessantly putting adverts on the radio telling all to gamble responsibly and then go and lure unsuspecting punters into their tentacles with these little gems.
Lets look at the Brighton match first as they have plainly put this in alphabetical order to hide it in plain veiw.
Brighton are away to Southampton today in the 12 o’clock kickoff and the odds suggest an away win could be on here. Southamptons home record of late has not been easy reading, having lost 3 and drawn 1 in the last 4 games. Brighton on the other hand have been victorious while playing away against both Leeds and Liverpool, drawn against Burnley but lost against West Brom. Brighton more than Southampton are needing back end season wins to lift them ever more away from the dredded drop zone. A factor against Brighton might be that Southampton have won their home matches when playing against teams that are lower than them in the league, 2-0 Newcastle, 2-0 West Brom, 3-0 Shefield Utd. In the past 7 encounters in this league Brighton have failed to win with Southampton winning 3 times and draws coming in the other games (All score draws by the way)
Next up is Leicester City who are hosting Sheffield Utd this afternoon. As most of you will be aware the tussle at the top is getting just a little more than exciting. With the top spot albeit lost in the clouds the battle for a champions league place can only really be described as savage. Sheffield Utd, even though all seems lost, managed to deny 3 points to Manchester Utd. Leicester cannot afford to lose with Tottenham Everton and West Ham all lookig at that 4th league spot with envious eyes. Recent form suggests that Leicester should win this quite comfortably but nothing should ever be a given in this game. Offensivley Leicester have scored 48 goals in 28 matches whereas sheffield have only managed 16. Leicesters defensive record is not great allowing 32 goals past them in the same 28 games.
Tottenham are away to Arsenal in this most famous of all North London Derbys. This fact alone would prevent me from including this game in any acca! Both teams have just played in the Europa League last Thursday (Both Winning) so fatigue must play a part. A win for Tottenham today would put them into 5th should West Ham lose to Manchester Utd later this evening but Tottenhams away form recently might suggest a different result having won only the most recent game against Fulham 0-1 losing to West Ham 2-1, Man City 3-0 and Brighton 1-0. Head to Head stats are against Tottenham by 13 – 8 (Arsenal wins 6, Draws 7, to Tottenhams 8 wins)

Ladbrokes have boosted this bet to 11.0 from 9.0 but you can get 11.5 on the Smarkets exchange if you are really intent on putting money on this

Ladbrokes Premier League Treble. Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs All to win

Ladbrokes have chosen the 3 big London clubs to create this interesting treble. Boosted from 9.0 (8/1) to 11.0 (10/1) seems a fair price as 10.0 is all you can get on the smarkets exchange.

First Game on the list is Leicester v (The Mighty) Arsenal, and at first sight Leicesters form from the last 4 home and away games is won 3 drawn 1 in contrast to Arsenal who have lost 3 and Won 1. It is all very tense at the top and leicester are level on points with Man Utd in their race to catch the seemingly unstoppable Man City. Arsenal’s last premiership away match was against Aston Villa 22 days ago and were beaten with a “surprise” 2nd minute goal. The Wolves game 4 days earlier was just a nightmare for them as 2 red cards and a penalty sealed this and very probably the villa game too with 2 suspensions and 4 out injured. Leicester have a great deal to gain from this match as Man Utd will need to beat an inform Chelsea. With Barnes only coming on late against Prague on Thursday may well see him fresh for this premiership clash.

Chelsea are are narrow favourites to win this game over Man Utd and should they do so and Leicester beat Arsenal it would pitch them 1 point above West Ham into 4th place. Chelsea are on form since losing manager Frank Lampard and Momentum may well carry them on to victory here. The very real battle for a mathematical top spot for Manchester cannot be discounted however and their goal scoring ability playing away from home speaks volumes and they will want to lift themselves from the doldrums that they are presently stranded in. The lack of a Stamford Bridge crowd could well be a deciding factor in this clash of premier titans.

Spurs host Burnley in this 2 o’clock kick off and reading from the match odds should be a walk in the park for them. But away goals can never be discounted at Tottenham home games and their form this season has seen them concede to all the teams below Burnley in the league except West Brom. All this being said however these two sides have met on ne fewer than 11 times since 2014 and Burnley have never won at the Tottenham ground.

If we take the Exchange odds of this treble as the most accurate it amounts to a 10% implied probability and with 9 possible outcomes of this treble, having the correct 3 fall into line considering who is playing seems a bit of a tall order. This may well be another treble that Ladbrokes win

Bettornot eh?
