The SkyBet “Soccer Saturday Price Boost” 25th Sept 2021

Todays SSPB from SkyBet has Leicester, Everton, and Sheffield United all to win at a boosted price of 5/1 from 3/1
Leicester City are hosting Burnley and are currently mid table, looking for a 3 pointer to boost them up the table The last 2 home games have seen them hold Manchester City to just a 1 goal defeat and a 1-0 win against Wolves. Burnley have yet to win an away game and after losing to both Merseyside sides. Leicester have won 4 out of their last 6 meetings at home against Burnley with this fixture last season ending 4-2.
Verdict: Leicester win
Everton are playing Norwich City at Home and have a 100% record here this season. Winning both games this season 3-1 against Southampton and Burnley they are currently 6th in the league on 10 pts with the top three sides on 13 each. Norwich City have yet to score away this season and have lost both of their away games 1-0 and 5-0 against Arsenal and Man City resepectfully. In fact they have yet to win.
Verdict: Everton Win
The final game in this boosted treble is a bit more tricky and takes us to the championship where Sheffield Utd host Derby County. Having won just 1 game at home this season they have a bit of a mixed bag of results when playing on home soil. With the Yorkshire side being unbeaten this season in the last 4 games (Home and Away) and the fact that they have scored a total of 9 goals at home so far this season to Derby’s 2 away goals from 4 games it would seem a home win is on the cards.
Verdict: Tentertive Sheffield Utd win.
I am going to back this boost with the free £5.00 bet which SKYBET is giving away for any cash bet on the Chelsea game this lunchtime against Manchester City.
N.B. you must opt-in to the offer to receive the free bet but a bet of as little as 5p will secure your free bet.
It would be unfair to not mention that there is also a Sheffield “Draw” option to this boost and is priced at 11/1 I will also be using one of my other free bets on this option as well

The Road to Cheltenham 2022 Week 4 Bet 3
The Masters starts today and SkyBet are offering the following promotion
“Place a £5+ bet on the ‘Hotshots’ market at The Masters and get a £1 free bet for every birdie or better your player makes during the first round of the tournament”
By “hotshots” they mean enhanced singles only and each player has been boosted by at least a point.
Professional Golf is something I know absolutely Nothing about. So what if its a sport somebody will have compiled stats.
There are a few stats sites for golf and most of them want paying for their work but The PGA tour site seems to have the basics and is completely and utterly free and completely and utterly confusing !
I will share with you the information Sky Bet gives:
- Round 1 2020 was a record low score at the Masters
- D.Johnson: 6 Birdies/Eagles in Round 1 2020
- J.Thomas: 7 Birdies/Eagles in Round 1 2020
- B.Dechambeau: 9 Birdies/Eagles in Round 1 2019
Justin Thomas is my pick for this years Masters with SkyBet because his round 1 scoring average (which is what we are looking for) after playing 18 first rounds is 69.44. His 7 Birdies/Eagles last November has conviced me that my fiver is as good on him as anyone.
How can anyone predict who will win a game of golf????

The Road to Cheltenham 2022 Freebet Week 3 summary
The week started badly with a trip to Wolverhampton and Lovely Breeze in the 18:30 which was boosted to 2.88. Managing only 6th place this left me £5.00 down. Not to be deterred I again went racing on Tuesday and split my fiver into an E/W bet on Finisk River in the 14:35 at Newcastle where a 4th place was close but no cigar forthcoming! £10.00 Down.
Staying in the north of England for Wednesdays bet I played what I thought was a in-play blinder backing over 2.5 goals 7 minutes into the Carlisle v Crawley match. With the game 2-0 at half time I began to count my winnings only for all hopes to be dashed as yellow cards came out instead of goals going in!! £15.00 down – this is getting depressing!!!
Bet 4 had to be a wembley affair and after careful planning nearly missed my opportunity as I only just got my Over 2.5 Goals bet on 1 minute before Kane scored from the spot. With 2 more goals being scored earned me a £6.88 profit bringing my total loss upto £8.12.
My last bet of the week plunged me more into despair as Absolutely No Goals were scored in the first half of the Leicester v Man City game making my Over 1.5 goals in the 1st half bet a loser.
Total Loss for the week is £13.12 with my Total loss for weeks 2-3 £11.24
On the Brightside though I will have £30 in free bets for Next years Cheltenham when this weeks bet is credited on Monday.

The Road to Cheltenham 2022 Free bet No 4 Week 2
World Cup Qualifiers begin tonight and France host Ukraine and with no stats so far this is a difficult game to decipher. Yet again the 2.5 goals market has a certain appeal with Under 2.5 goals taking my eye. If we take a look at the qualifiers for the 2018 tournament in 2017 Ukraine only had one game in which there were 3 goals or more and that was against Finland. The eventual runners up Croatia could only put 2 in against them. Current Champions, France, however did fair better in their score lines with 3 games from 5 ending with more than 2 goals scored. An other factor in this is that this tournament is unlike any other due to the fact that the Chinese Bat Flu has made it necessary to play the opening qualifiers in a week meaning that each team are playing 4 matches within a week. A tall order for any team. This may mean that whilst the dominant team may well take an early lead will the managers rest their goalscorers for future matches? This will undoubtedly be revealed later on tonight but I am putting my money where my mouth is and backing Under 2.5 goals at 2.0
